A GESC is a lot like a DESC but is more detailed and has more requirements.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"https:\/\/xyzcivil.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/IMG_1956-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-19\" srcset=\"https:\/\/xyzcivil.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/IMG_1956-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/xyzcivil.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/IMG_1956-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/xyzcivil.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/IMG_1956-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/xyzcivil.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/IMG_1956-1536x1152.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/xyzcivil.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/IMG_1956-2048x1536.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Large steel accessory building in Douglas County required a DESC plan<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">List of main requirements for a DESC\/GESC<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>grading so that water flows away from buildings. 10% slope or 5% if sloped towards a swale. &gt;1% slope for impervious surfaces (concrete, asphalt, pavers, etc.)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>perimeter silt fencing OR straw logs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>vehicle tracking control near entrance &#8211; clean truck tires prior to leaving site<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>seeding\/mulching schedule<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>all slopes 3:1 or steeper require erosion control matting<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>culvert sizing\/calculations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>driveway slopes must be &lt;10%<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>show easements, setbacks, 2&#8242; contours (topographic survey is typically required in addition to the plat).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>show proposed contours, slopes, and spot elevations.  <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>distance of proposed building to all property lines and adjacent structures<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Show fire truck turnaround and meet all other douglas county driveway regulations and Fire Code requirements.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Show top and bottom of retaining walls with spot elevations.
